I still would put The Sugarhill Gang's Rapper's Delight up against any other rap singer's performance as almost certainly better. Here are a few reasons, after the obligatory YouTube inliner:

* You can understand what is being sung.
* The song tells three stories
* There is a point to each of the three stories.
* The song is easy to memorize, or at least the "food rap" is, I can sing all of that off the top of my head. "Well you ever went over a friend's house to eat and the food just ain't no good? I mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas are mush and the chicken tastes like wood."
* The song can be played on the radio, and is not threatening, corrosive, disrespectful to anyone, vicious or nasty.
