I think the White Sox should be added to the shortlist of contractible teams, just based on the fact that too large a percentage of their fans are, on evidence, criminally insane.
I mean, how effed up do you have to be for that to seem like a good idea? That goes beyond simple drunkenness. I've had way too much to drink at more than one Yankees/Red Sox games in the bleachers and have spent a good deal of time screaming at, say, Paul O'Neill until my trachea bled. But I'm perfectly happy to keep it that way. No need to go try to tackle him and then get stomped by 50 angry professional athletes with metal spikes on their feet.

o Allowed Michael Jordan to get completely humiliated in front of the entire nation
o Have fans that have attacked a KC coach and ump, now
What the fuck do the White Sox bring to the table, even? Get rid of them.

Er... 1919, if I remember right.
BUT THE BASEBALL GODS HAVE A LONG MEMORY.
I talk a lot of shit on some NFL forums, but I don't really do so when it comes to baseball due to the lack of salary structure. If I did, though, encountering fans of a team that threw a championship would be like free ice cream to all the freaks, molestors and serial circus freaks in the free world. I can only hope that someday an NFL team gives up for a few extra bucks as well, due to how quickly it will end a forum thread.

They won the AL Central a few years ago, in between the Indians crashing and burning and the Twins taking everyone by (pleasant) surprise. I think.

"Eight Men Out" is a movie about them throwing the Series. Haven't seen it; s'posed to be good.

Wasn't that the Black Sox? I remember it was some colored Sox but I always thought it was the unwashed, Black Sox.

Speaking of which, Toronto is offering $1 tickets for a game this week.
Dunno if $1 beers are included or not. Everytime I have read a thread or post on this subject someone has said "ONE DOLLAR BEERS LOL LOONIES" and I can't really figure out if they are asking for that or if they are congratulating that.
Also, I caught the Rockies - Cubs game where
1) Mark Prior threw seven innings of nigh unhittable ball
2) Everyone threw their seat cushions on the field
My party did not obtain any seat cushions, so we were not involved in that, except tangentially.
