In this thread I will go on a journey. That journey is: learning about the Buffalo Sabres, again.

It has been years since I regularly watched regular season hockey, or played hockey video games. I blame Electronic Arts for all of that. A man can't live on hate. He can live on hate and saag paneer, and quite well, but he can't live on just hate forever. I no longer hate.

The last time I checked, the Sabres had a young and upcoming roster, filled with stars like Ryan Miller, Danny Briere and Gilbert Perreault. I am going to look at the current Sabres roster and try to make sense of everything.

The other hockey fans here can correct me as needed.

They still have Jochen Hecht! I don't really know anything else about the Sabres.

Further research shows that the Sabres' backup goalie is named "Jhonas."

I'd forgotten they had Tyler Myers. I saw him play in the last Thrashers game I went to -- dude is tall (and while reports on his play have been generally glowing, he was comically inept in that game).

This has been your Sabres Scouting Report.

Check out the Amerks roster as well and see who the Sabres are going to pull up (right in the middle of a triple A hot streak, no doubt) It's a 'rebuilding' year.

I wish I cared more. I used to, back in '96 or so.

This is all I can think of now.

I have seen that name! I have definitely seen that name on the Sabres sites. He will be the first man we look at together. (Clinically.)
