I swear each one of these follows a similar pattern.

First game: score like twice.
Second game: best game I ever do.
Third game: in between #1 and #2
Fourth game: worst score as I try new tactics
Fifth game: I realize I just plain suck at it.

My best score was 44, on my second game.

I've fallen into a similar pattern - when I was into Sonic Adventure 2, no one in my family nor inner circle would play me. Their complaints?

1) I was too fast
2) I emptied a level of rings on my first pass

After a few months of school, finally went back and played the game and couldn't achieve a ranking above B. A similar pattern has emerged for games such as Galaxian, Centipede, DonDonPachi and others - basically a bell curve from and into mediocrity.

There is no way you played that game long enough to get 32,000 points. That is the worst, most boring game I have ever seen in my life. I quit at 1500, not because I lost, but because JESUS CHRIST, what a terrible game.

I meant Galaxian, haha. And no, my highest for that specific game was 5,600 I think.

I decided to cheat by putting the game in two-player mode (so the android never moves) and I still couldn't get half your score.

There's only one way I know to score in most hockey and soccer games, but it takes two people. You position one in front of one end of the goal, and then take the other (with the ball to the other side. When the goalie runs to one end (where the ball is) you pass to the other guy and score. Works every time.

I've tried that same basic idea with the Android Soccer, but to no avail. I've dribbled it down the left hand side, then shot it to the right and tried to bang it in. It works 1 out of 10 times, which is not enough to get me anywhere near Pinback's score. Not even close.

You get 8 shots, right? I miss at least 4 of the 8, so no points for those. Of the others, sometimes I'll get it in the goal. I rarely get the bonus points.

I think my highest score without cheating was ~40 points.

I dunno. I generally kick it once slightly off to one side to get it close, and then kick it across the goal right at the end. Then I make sure to do that very fast. Then I make sure to try to hit the goal targets, at least get the "10" target on the first guy.
