I actually have no interest in this but I thought someone else might. There's no question OU is going to kick Tulsa's ass tonight; the only question is, will the cover the spread (I believe it's 25).
I just watched the Missouri/Miami game. I thought Missouri was going to do a lot more damage to Miami than they did.
OSU (Oklahoma State, not OU) has some new and pretty bad ass looking uniforms. Too bad they will still get their stench all over them.
Tonight the first-ranked Oklahoma Sooners eeked out a win over fifth-ranked Florida. The game was a lot closer than the final score (23-13) reflected. Florida had at least four players leave the field with injuries, not the least of which was starting quarterback EJ Manuel. Manuel is 6'5" and loves to run the ball ... but runners get hit, and quarterbacks who like to run get hit hard. Backup quarterback Clint Trickett did a good job while reminding fans why he's the backup quarterback and not the starter.
The OSU/Tulsa game (which should be a blow out) has been delayed for hours now because of bad weather in Tulsa. They are talking about an 11:30pm kick-off time now.
I forgot to mention that OU beat Missouri over the weekend. The announcers were saying that OU was running up the score, but (a) they only won by 10, and (b) Missouri beat OU last year, so running up the score is actually called "revenge".
The 4-0 Sooners kicked Ball State's ass up and down the field on Saturday, racking up a final score of 62-6. For their efforts, they dropped one ranking in the polls.
I forgot to mention -- I did not watch the game live, as it was PPV only (and $40). So instead I listened to it on the radio, and then downloaded it the next day (for $0).
So, I am in a college football fantasy league and I suck at it each year. I wanted the starting halfback for the Sooners. THE INTERNET told me it was Roy Finch.
Well, it's sure as fuck NOT Roy Finch. So I got screwed there.
Roy Finch = Scottie Pippin. He was awesome last year as a backup runner behind DeMarco Murray. Murray left, Finch got hurt and lost 20 pounds, then OU drafted a bunch of other good running backs and now Finch isn't running as much.

Also, when we are up 59-6, this is how you get hit.
Mercy is for the weak.
This is for hockey, not football, but it fits with your comments:
Reggie Dunlop: Let 'em know you're there! Get that stick in their side, let 'em know you're there! Put some fuckin' lumber in their teeth, let 'em know you're there! Ned Braden (sarcastically): Bleed all over 'em, let 'em know you're there.

Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.
OU pounded TexAss into the ground today, piling it on for a 55-17 victory. OU's defense scored 24 points, outscoring the Longhorns all by themselves. OU, who is now 5-0, drops in the polls every week. They're currently ranked 3rd, so this definitive victory should knock them down to 4th or 5th at least.
6th ranked OSU (Oklahoma State, not Ohio), who is also currently undefeated at 5-0, did their part by kicking (unranked) Kansas up and down the field for 60 minutes, walking about with a final score of 70-28. I've never been a big fan of the Pokes, but as long as they aren't playing against OU, I'll root for them.
Next week, they flip-flop; OSU takes on Texas while OU will face Kansas. Although I'm less interested in it, OSU/Texas should be the better of the two games. OU/Kansas will most likely be a blow out.
OU beat Kansas last night, taking the Sooners to 6-0. At least in the first half, the game was much closer than it should have been. In the second half, the Sooners turned up the heat and shut down Kansas' offense.
The AP currently has OU listed at #3, while USA Today has then #1. We'll see what next week says.
Eric Stephens of Texas Tech is gone for the season with a torn ACL. It was torn last week. The site I use for the college FF, Fantrax, didn't fucking mention it.
So I had a "0" for him this week.
Roy Finch got 11 points on my bench. (I was able to pick up the guy playing ahead of him in our post-week-five supplemental draft.)
Finch had 6 runs and averaged almost 10 yards per run over the weekend. Unfortunately for him, Broyles and Stills had 21 receptions for almost 300 yards. OU perfected the wishbone ("The Oklahoma Sooners wishbone offense set the all-time NCAA rushing average in 1971 of 472.4 yds per game, a record which still stands to this day." - Wikipedia) and was known as a running team for basically the past 20+ years. Unfortunately for Finch, they currently have two really good pass receivers.
Five years ago I'll bet Finch would have averaged 100+ yards per game at OU.

So let's see ... hmm ... did anyone watch the Starcraft championship on ESPN this weekend?
No?
By the way, DICK, I know for a fact that at one point during the weekend, both Jonsey and myself WERE IN FACT watching the finals of the MLG Orlando SC2 tournament.
So... YES. Well, not ESPN, but my answer is YES.
(You're not a dick, I apologize. You're a good man, and I am happy to know you.)
When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.
