In S04E02, Breaking Bad addresses the only flaw Robb Sherwin found in all of the previous seasons. It is as if they personally fixed the show for Robb.

Robb Sherwin, did you see S04E02 yet? Do you see how they fixed the show, for you personally, addressing your one complaint?

I laughed and laughed.

Some would say it was a big "F you" to everyone who pointed out this one particular flaw, but I prefer to think of it as if they were speaking directly to you, Robb F. Sherwin.

In any case, I think it's fair to start taking BB out of the "best show on TV" conversation, much like you could take Tiger Woods out of the "best golfer" conversation ten years ago.

The only real competition is for second place.

Literally after reading your post, it happened on the screen.

Okay, it's time to admit it. Breaking Bad is now the greatest show in the history of television. Enjoy second place, The Wire. It couldn't last forever.

It seriously could not have worked out any better. I don't know what possessed me to check to see if JC had any new posts. I mean, within three seconds of reading the beginning of Ben's post, I looked over at BB and there it was. FLAW FIXED.

To anyone who's interested enough to read this, but not interested enough to be scared away by possible spoilers, the issue at hand is this:

In one of the greatest non-sequitur moments in television history, Walter White, in season three, in a fit of pique, chucks a brand new pepperoni pizza he just bought randomly into the air. It happens to land on the roof of his house, where it sits there decaying as the episode moves on. One of those wonderful little bits of nonsense which makes BB the greatest show in history, instead of just a really great show.

Except...

Except Robb Z. Sherwin pointed out to me that, while hilarious, there was a problem with the scene: THE PIZZA WAS NOT CUT. That's how it managed to make the whole trip from his hands to the roof unscathed... they'd not cut the pizza into slices. A glaring plot hole, if there ever was one.

In tonight's episode, a bunch of druggies order like eight pies from the same place, and as soon as they open the boxes they start bitching that the place didn't cut the pies into slices... One of them launches into a drug-hazed rant about how "they pass the savings on to you!" That with 80 million pizzas made per year, if you saved 10 second per pie cutting, then... (more drug-induced nonsense.)

But there can be no doubt. This was directly addressed to our faithful leader here, and once again solidifies BB as the greatest show ever: They acknowledged their one mistake over the past three seasons, and fixed it.

And the thing was, it was a "flaw" in only the strictest definition of the word. It's funny to see an entire pizza helicopter onto a estranged guy's former roof. You'd *want* it that way. It's better that way.

To then put a tiny piece about that company later is just genius. Everyone should start at the first episode of Breaking Bad and not do anything until they are caught up.

I don't see where it was a "flaw" and I have this feeling I pointed it out here before - that at least one pizza place was referenced in the show as providing pizza uncut. Further, if he'd bought a pizza in the store, it would also be uncut. Plus I'm sure if you get one at a franchise of a national chain you can order a different number of slices or uncut.

Paul, nobody sells uncut pizza. A "take and bake" place might, but that pie was already cooked. I mean, yes, we can come up with a hundred different explanations.

Walt, whose entire raison d'etre is providing normalcy and security for his family, is not going to rock star out and order the pizza uncut. It was a "flaw" with quotes because when a "flaw" like that provides a hilarious scene that we are enjoying years later, it is better that way. My entire take in saying "BB is perfect... there is just one flaw...." was facetious.

1. I didn't know this,
2, I only started watching the show less than six months ago, and
3. The way they are running the episodes that I've seen, the episode mentioning the pizza place that doesn't cut the slices was shown before the episode where he threw the pizza.
