I can't find the bass guitar thread and it's getting late

I bought a new Ibanez last year because my old one was held together with drywall screws and the bridge was a piece of quarter inch stainless round stock filed down close to the string height. Not good at all. Not professional. Hell, not amateur either, more like rigged up in desperation. So I buy this nice new bass and it sets up pretty good for me. Got decent action and everything. But the bridge pickup buzzes.
it's one of those annoying things that will prey on your nerves slowly. Finally you find your self awake at three in the morning, thinking about how you are gonna take it apart tomorrow and what tools you will need to accomplish the task.
Then in the morning the sun is shining and birds are chirping and you forget all about it for another day. And another day, until a year has past and it still buzzes when you play it.
Today was THE day. Stupid Koreans had ground loops all over the thing. Terrible wiring job. Plus the body cavity wasn't shielded at all. Luckily I had some nice spare window screen ( the aluminum stuff not the fiberglass) I pulled everything out stapled the screen throughout and rewired everything so all the ground connections were at the same point. Sounds pretty much the same but NO BUZZ!
