Whadda ya think -- worth the 17 year wait for new GnR material, or no?

OK, I am going to have to grab this one and check it out.

Chuck Klosterman gave it high praise, but I think he's got a soft spot for Axl? I wasn't a huge fan of GnR during their heyday, but time heals all wounds, and I recognize that they rock now, where maybe I didn't as a sophomore in high school, because I was, er, more into Hall & Oates.

(man, why am I admitting that? on Christmas!)

I'm just glad you finally came around to realizing that's something normal people should be ashamed of.

There's a weird Hall and Oats line for me ... stuff like Maneater and No Can Do just seem silly and then songs like You Make My Dreams Come True and Sarah Smile I can listen to forever.

Yeah, they got "commercial" and everything, but they are really talented songwriters, and they had talented musicians in their band.
