2008 PGA Player of the Year Award Thread

Well, this is all that there's left to decide. I suggested at the end of the PGA thread that it's definitely gonna go to Paddy, but Tiger still has twice the wins and STILL is on top of the money list, so it might not be the done deal I thought.
Here is a dumbass "point-counterpoint" about this topic on Yahoo Fucking Golf, the most worthless golf page in the universe.

This is just fucking perfect.
Paddy wins two majors, nothing else, and now he's the odds on favorite to win the award. Surely a fine showing in the FedEx cup "playoffs" would seal the deal!
PLAYOFF EVENT 1 RESULT: Paddy misses the cut.
PLAYOFF EVENT 2, FIRST ROUND RESULT: Paddy is alone in last place, in a field of 115 players.

Wait, the guy missed a cut and finished last at an event. How was he player of the year? Why wasn't it just Tiger Woods? Please explain this to me. There's no playoff, right?
