Hitman 2 still sucks!

Post by AArdvark »

For whatever reason my kid bought the trilogy pack featuring Hitman 2: silent Assassin; Hitman: Blood money and Hitman: Contracts. I installed the oldest of the three because I played it in the past and hated it then. I figured that I'm older and wiser now and the game will be easier for the more mature me. Still can't play it without killing everything in sight. Supposed to be a stealth game, right? I can play Splinter Cell on and off for weeks and get through that with no real complaints. This game sucks at stealth. Or maybe I suck at stealth, I dunno. I always end up pulling out the silverballers and blowing away everyone because I just cannot be stealthy enough. So I just un-installed it and got on my moral high horse and decided that I'm through with it forever. It only took me two days.

yeah, but if game 2 is too difficult for me then game 3 and 4 will be way above my level of gamesmanship. I need to go back to pong.

I'm tired of killing people. I want a game that has no guns or offensive weapons, really great graphics and a good plot. Does such a game exist?

Look pal, if you don't spend the requisite amount of time in the murder simulator, we're not going to be able to help you when it comes time for the murderinnnn.

I would recommend The Last Express to you. Have you played that one?

Never even heard of it. Is it any good?
I still haven't gone back and finished Zelda 1 on the Wii, and I actually paid five bucks for that one. Maybe by Christmas when I don't go out-of-doors as much.

The Last Express is a game by the guy who did Karateka and Prince of Persia. APPARENTLY it is not actually a game that simulates murder. Instead, it is a graphical adventure! I have been meaning to play it myself for years.

There is murder, but it is not committed by the player. In fact, the plot revolves around the player proving that he has not committed a murder.

and also as one of the largest commercial failures in the history of video games (with a reported six million dollars in development costs)
From wiki-thingummy, Sounds like that Sherlock Holmes and the Silver Earring game. I may look into it if I can get a freebie.

It's on GameTap. If you don't already subscribe I implore you to try it out: they've got a tremendous number of classic games for the 2600, Intellivision, 8-Bit, C64, DOS, and Windows. They've got the Space Quest, King's Quest, and Quest for Glory series, as well as the Might and Magic series and a bunch of Infocom games. They've even got a ton of newer Adventure Company point-and-click adventures of which I am rather fond.

They also have Deus Ex, which everyone needs to play, and apparently they're going to get S.T.A.L.K.E.R. soon, which I bought earlier this week and have been completely and utterly amazed and engrossed by.

The first month is 99 cents.
