Did you know (former) Redskins Safety Sean Taylor died? Yup an actual NFL player died. It happend some time ago but I wasn't aware until today when Chris Collinsworth mentioned it 7,000 times during the Seahawks-Redskins broadcast. Collinsworth even mentioned Taylor was "on the field with his teamates"

Next week from the Jerome Bettis is from Detroit Dept.
"Did you know Mike Holmgren once coached for Green Bay?"
As a Seattle Seahawks fan I was blissfully unaware, I did not know that! Right now newsrooms across america are digging up their old word files the from 99 when Holmgren coached against the Packers the FIRST TIME (now 9 years ago) and are furiously copying and pasting away.

I can only hope Seattle wins and plays Dallas, at least then the angle can be Tony Romo dropping that snap in last years game for 7 straight days. Oh I guess 7 days of Jessica Simpson slutting around wouldn't suck either.

Sportswriters are some of the laziest human beings in the world. I don't know if it's because they are never challenged and their work is cyclical (Super Bowl - Pro Bowl - College Hoops - NBA Finals - Baseball Starts - Olympics - World Series - Football Starts) or what, but it's a pretty big problem when a bunch of people who have no professional training (like the average sports blogger) do a better job at a profession than those who get paid.

My favorite was after the second Washington TD, he said "...and Sean Taylor watches and smiles from the heavens above."

There's so many things wrong with that it's hard to know where to start. Let's start here: Shut the fuck up.
