We watched the first disc of the first season and what do you know: everyone telling you what an asshole you are for not watching this isn't right.
Don't get me wrong. It's fine. We'll watch the entire first season, at three episodes a disc. Netflix will love this because they'll be able to throttle us.
But this demonstrated why people who are constantly telling you to watch a TV show should be shot. Either that or 24 just blows away one's expectation. The first disc of the first season of 24 is apparently the gold standard of getting onself hooked.
There are lots of actors from "Oz" in The Wire. I don't know where else to put that, so there you go.
