Sorry it stinks here lately

It has been a few days with not much going on. Here's what's in fact going on with the New Jolt Country Dot Com:

-Progress on a new IF game. This one I am going to try to sell. I am trying to get scene descriptions out to the actors and also finish up the second scene. (The opening is mostly complete.) There are some new things with this game, at least in terms of how you talk to people. I am not using the Phototalk extension, for instance.

-Bruce and Lysander are working on games and I need to get back to them. It will be extremely difficult for me to take on any other testing or checking of other IF wares over the next several months, so if I don't get back to you on your WIP and you are not Bruce or Bond that's why.

-The last six games of the Top 100 List. I'll begin cranking them out after the above thing is set.

-I have half a month off for Christmas which should not only go a long way towards getting the new IF game set, but this other thing I need print-on-demand services for. I am currently looking at Lulu.com, but if anyone else has something in mind I am all ears. Currently wrestling with color versus B&W pages. Regardless, I would like SOME physical manifestation to result from this vacation, be it a self-printed venture, Creeping Maw, or whatnot.

So there you have it. The BBS might be "lame" for a few days, but there will be positive future results. When I am really flying on IF stuff it's usually for the best for me to continue hitting that up. I have become one of those people who can only write when it's dark, quiet (except for what I play on headphones) and when I know that I have no commitments in the next few hours. I hate that I have to write that way, but I'm learning that it's fairly common and not unique and that people still make good content over those restrictions.

Tell us, ICJ, what is playing on your headphones these days? What counts as good writing music?

Lately it has been the band "Coheed and Cambria" which any fan of the 60s/70s/80s/90s/00s band "Yes" should quite enjoy.

Coheed and Cambria have three albums out and they are all pretty good. It is impossible to not write well if "A Favor House Atlantic" (or whatever the hell it's called) is playing or "The Suffering" (or whatever the hell it's called) is playing.

OK, let me re-organize that queue a little, then. I honestly feel like a fucking asshole for not creating the opening graphic for Bruce. I can't believe it's gone on this long. I usually never take this long for stuff. I am infuriated with my own being.

It's funny you mention that, I'm the fucking king of procrastination over here. Two whole classes have been completely ignored and another one I am doing quite poorly in. I mean, the one I'm doing quite poorly in is because the teacher is a fucking luddite moron and refuses to put his list of class readings on the internet, and the other two classes are "how to learn Excell" and a sociology class that consists of 3 tests and a paper. But. Still. Things would be better if I had some validation that the things I am wasting my time and money on (music) didn't suck.
