Is this game any good?

Are you talking about the fourth newish one? Yes, especially once you get past the opening sequence, although the gimmicy 3d shit they try to pull whenever you move from location to location needs to be shot through the lungs, or the creator of the stupid 3d shit needs to be shot through the lungs. Either/or.

I disagree with Lysander. It's pretty awful. It's just not monkey islandish. Your wit won't help you with the sword fighting, "monkey insult" fighting is both timed & requires a pad & pencil because the correct come-back to "ook eek!" is "ook ook ak!"

The thing that really stopped me playing was the low-rate MP3s being used for the voices. It's horrible to emphasise with characters who sound like buzzing fuzzy crap unless they actually are Stephen Hawking.

The third one is much better than people say, though.

Edit: Wait, is Escape the 3rd one, the 2D one? Yeah, that's a good game. No, wait, it is the 4th one, the 3D. That's shit. HOW MANY DIMENSIONS ROBB??

Eh, i played it back before I was bothered by such things as low bitrate MP3s and I didn't notice. You're right, though, they could do a lot better sound. Still, maybe it's a genre thing--almost no one makes point-and-click adventure games anymore. Or maybe they were just trying to save space. Who knows. I agree about the monkey combat thing though, that was just dumb. Aaand that was as far as I played, as a matter of fact.

Curse was the last 2d one I believe. It was okay. But I really don't want to play anymore.
