Softball question for Knuckles

What's the best way to train yourself to generate enough bat speed to really drive a softball in the game of softball? Should it include significant reps at a batting cage? Are batting cages pretty much worthless?

(Are batting cages worthless for practicing hitting to opposite field?)

Do what the typical Gym Class Hero does and take about three steps into the pitch. And drink. A lot. And not your typical Mudslides and Poofy Pussies, either, RobBberto. Ya gotta drink beer.

Swing a bat under water if you can find a pool that will let you bring a bat into it. If not Weight train shoulders wrists and legs. If your hands and forearms are strong the bat will feel lighter. Keep blubber in your ass and legs which shouldn't be a problem. That way if you do manage to stregnthen your wrists and increase bat speed AND involve your hips in the swing, you will have some mass behind the speed.

Batting cages would work if you were a superstar which you are not. Hitting endless ball after ball from the same angle will hurt you becuase you wont be able to hit different pitches.

Also learn to swing down on the ball. If you are 31 years old and have never hit one over the fence, you can forget any type of uppercut swing to accomplish this. YOu will have to cut through the ball to generate back spin to hitfor distance.

Ok since you can communicate here, why is the stupid website I'm trying to create down?

Do you mean you can't login through FTP? Because I can bring it up just fine.

Think grounders. Down and hard.

Start with a 'roid training regimen, that works for most big time hitters.

yes I can't login through FTp and the stupid shit I put up there to test doesn't show up when I got to the internet to view it. But I understand you've left your little brother behind for a life of meatless chili and PSP, so I don't expect an answer.

I'm telling you, the frigging site works just fine.

What does FTPX say when you try to access it? Fuck this, I'm getting you a better FTP client. On one of my PCs, I can't get into Jolt Country using FTPX, so maybe that's it.

Do me a favor and post the URL here. Everyone can tell you if they can see it or not.

I'm telling you, I've had maybe five minutes of downtime with POE Hosting since April of 2002. Nobody else (for me) has come close.

Also - what domain name do you want? I'll set you up.

I had the same problem. FTP was fine but the browser would just laugh at me.
