10/10. Best movie I've seen since the Two Towers. AM I OVERHYPING IT!?!?! Maybe.
Ben, seriously, don't be a jerk, let's see this movie in the theatre. LET'S DO IT!!! I know you hate movies in theatres, but nobody was around for the 9:55 showing in Longmont.
Come on, man!!

I give it a 2.5. Maybe if I saw the uncut version, I'd like it more. Whoopdeedoo. Psych horror with a 'twist' at the end, blah blah fucking blah. Way too many plot devices and people I could give a shit about. Remember back when all it took to engender sympathy for your victims was that they took their shirts off? Am I asking too much?

In the space of the last two nights, I've see sawed, and see sawed II. All I got to say is:
I enjoyed both of them, and they were both pretty bad.
I like the bad guy. I like his methods and his philosophy.
I dislike the writers and actors surrounding him.
But, if it should so happen that they come out with a "Saw III", then, sure, I'd check that out. And I'd probably like it too, and also think it was a pretty bad movie.
Which I'm sure it will be.

Tobin Bell is amazing in the second movie. He should have been in it more as a person rather than voice in the first, but whatever, that one had Danny Glover.
There IS a Saw III! It is opening on Friday, October 27th. Normally I'd be there opening night, but that's the day we are throwing that party I mentioned in the other base, so there you go. But shortly thereafter I would like the events and depictions inside my brain where I can enjoy them at a later date. I would like to see Saw III quickly.
I agree with everything you say, Ben. The other actors are not good and often need to stop talking. The writers and directors should not work on much else after they finish their Saw trilogy, unless it is in fixing the bad guys in other movies. But there is one thing that will make me very, very angry, and that is if they decide, "Whoa, we really wrote ourselves into a corner with giving Jigsaw cancer!"
Listen to me, you assholes who write, direct and act in this shit: I have no reason to think you do feel you have written yourself into a corner. I have no reason to not think that you aren't aware of this already and have already come to the same conclusion that I have, which is: nobody gives a shit.
Nobody gives a shit that Jigsaw should "die soon." Of all the unbelievable stretches you give us, that is not one of them. Robert Englund successfully had his own line of horror movies and now Tobin Bell does as well AND WE LIKE IT. WE LIKE HIM. Do not kill him and never let him stop being the antagonist, ever, in our lives.
I appreciate you understanding this. He is a very good actor who does not get enough feature work. This series is therefore positive for humanity because he is so good. I trust that you will continue to give him lots of money and therefore I will continue to see your movies and everyone is happy.

I just saw it. I enjoyed it... a lot more than i was expecting to, actually. I saw the first ten minutes of Saw II and thought "Blah, whatever, just a bunch of people being stabbed to death" but there was enough dialogue in the first movie that I could pick up on averything that was going on until about the last fifteen minutes of the film, but I figured out the important parts well enough. (So I know who Tobin Bell is and where he came from, yes.) On that note, though, if anyone has underground hookups that I don't and could hook me up with a script I"d really appreciate it.
Edit: Ah, there's Saw one, at least. How 'bout the other two movies? I mourne for the days when people would put scripts on the DVDs.
