They are very talented musicians but the loooooong extended jams left me numb. Some of the stuff I saw/heard on the Bittersweet Motel DVD sounded really good but then I faded off to a light slumber during the Live in Vegas DVD.

Er, no. Most of their music is shitty kid's books put to shitty music. The jams are the only redeeming portion of the whole thing.. oh yeah and the whippets.

The jams are amazing and the best part of it but Phish's best jams don't hold a candle to some of the Dead's worst jams.

Yes your bands need more cocks, like the 15 cocked band called Der Cocken from Germany.

On a lighter note if you are listening to Phish or the Dead at this point you are in a horrible, horrible phase that should last about 6 months. You've gotten to the back pages of the BMG cd catalog after signing up for free the 15th time. You are looking for something to replace that Scorpions Rockers and Ballads CD that seemed like a good pick.
The Dead and Phish aint it. You can disguise bad music by doing as many drugs or sleeping with as many hairy ugly girls as you want, but there is a reason nobody associated with good music wants anyhting to do with these losers. Anyone with half a brain cell can tell the music is terrible. Generation after generation of fraIl shiftless teenagers have convinced other frailer and and even more shift lacking teenagers that this is the way to go. I went with some losers to a Phish concert and was bored out of mind after 5 minutes and hoped every girl their would put more clothes on.

It is educational however. Pretending something that sucks so bad is ok is what you will be doing the rest of your life at the shitty jobs you will hold.
