Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits: A Video Rental Misencounter

Odd life happenstance.
I was at the video rental place tonight after a 3 hour grueling qualifying examination before a committee, and one of the employees pops Michael Jackson's greatest music videos into the dvd/vcr, or whatever they have in the back. Without thinking, I said "what the frick is this (enter variable descriptive adjective-noun expletive)" She was standing right next to me, and said in a hostile tone, "What? You don't like it?" (As she forcefully explained later, it was her favorite Michael Jackson music video compilation, apparently one of many that she had 'watched at least 2 times a week') I thought about it for a moment, and all I could say was "It sucks so much it's interesting, and additionally reminds me vaguely of my later childhood." On and on. She was up in my grille like Chris Rock in CB4. Jeesh, I just wanted to rent a video or two and had to continually defend my dislike of Michael Jackson to a rather overenthusiastic video store rental clerk.
Strange how that sort of thing happens.
Distantly movie-related.
I did get some Kurosawa, Bergman, Welles (Touch of Evil, Kane) for the composition aspect of my drawing class. Thanks for the recommendations -- I couldn't find some of the other titles, so off to netflix.
