[Review] Donnie Darko

"That's a long way to go with no punch." - Big Earl Partridge.
I liked this movie all the way up until I stopped liking it, or, to place the blame where it belongs, until it stopped making any sense whatsoever.
At least Mulholland Drive left you a few clues to piece the thing together. DD just throws a bunch of crap up on the screen and hopes that you'll pick out whatever semi-digested peanuts and corn from it that will make you happy. Well, sorry Charlie, I don't like semi-digested peanuts or corn!
Up until then, though, pretty quirky and interesting.
Donnie Darko: Two and a half stars.
Semi-digested peanuts and corn: ZERO STARS.
