Jolt Country

"The Hunger" by The Distillers captures, in a single song, everything that was good about the early to mid-nineties "alt" rock scene and, amazingly, none of the myriad of things that were, in hindsight, bad about it.

I understand that that description probably appeals to few if any of the people here, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

EDIT: In the interest of fairness, I'll point out that it runs a little over five minutes which has been scientifically proven to be too long for a rock song, but on the other hand I didn't even notice the length until I glanced at the little play bar a second ago.
