I also hate ticketmaster

ICJ shared his complaints about Ticketmaster in another thread. I concur.
I have season tickets to minor league hockey here in Rochester. Have probably had them for 30 years now.
One benefit that we get is the ability to trade unused tickets for other games. (IE, I can't go on April 3rd, so I can trade that ticket for a game on April 5th). I used to have to call the Amerks office to make this switch, but now it's all done thru Ticketmaster's Account Manager portal. OK, whatever, it's generally convenient.
Except for when games are heavily attended. Twice this year, I already had a couple of tickets to a game, and I wanted to get one more for my daughter to come. So I go online, and there are two seats available next to me. SWEET, I think. It's an easy trade. Go thru all the steps, go to check out... NOPE. "Sorry you can't do that, it will leave only a single seat available!"
Now, keep in mind.. the Amerks have not sold out a non-playoff games... well, since expanding the arena to 11500 seats. There is no danger that someone will want to come with a friend, and not be able to get 2 tickets. But no! Instead, the Sabres/Amerks/Ticketmaster would all rather that I send my daughter off to sit by herself amongst a group of strangers.
I have challenged the Amerks ticket staff on this mulitple times. They blame the Sabres. They blame Ticketmaster. They never offer to make it right (they CAN override the system manually, but refuse to).
Bunch of fuckers.
