Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Jonsey, I think I remember that you didn't hate the first Transformers live action movie as much as the ones that followed?
I can heartily recommend giving this thing a chance as it's as good a Transformers movie as has ever been made. It's a re-boot. Completely re-writes "canon" if that were a thing in Transformers.
It's got fun new transformers, the beasts are fucking awesome (I'm facinated by falcons, big cats, and gorillas and it's got em all). The transformer action scenes are great from start to finish, nothing cheesy at all and the final scene is fucking epic for a transformers movie. No real spoilers here (if such a thing were a thing in this property) but they bring back Omicron from the cartoon Transformers The Movie which is one of the best animated movies of all time. As always the human sidekicks are the worst part of Transformers but this guy isn't bad, he's sure trying harder than Mark Wahlberg did. The chubby black girl grows on you through the movie. The action and peril just builds and builds until the final crescendo of a CGI action scene that's fun and tense at the same time. The followup scenes are fun and point to next steps in the franchise.
Other fun facts:
- Optimus Prime is reborn as the cab over truck he always was. Now I'm questioning the first movie's excuse that it had to be a conventional truck due to "proportions when he's a robot"
- Cool motorcycle chick transformer
- Mirage is cool, Porsche 911 is my fav car of all time, I would buy the toy if they made them like in the 80s
- Transformer becomes Rick and Morty style exosuit and kicks some major butt
- They stole "transwarp" from Star Trek III
- Fucking awesome 90's+ rap track, both soundtrack and in movie
- There's going to be a Transformers / Gi-Joe crossover movie, think Marvel universe except Hasboro
