Look how good my scar shows up in that!

I got that when I was three years old.

I hit my head on a coffee table, trying to dive underneath it.

I was doing so because I did not want to take a bath.

They called an ambulance to pick me up and take me to the hospital.

The ambulance broke down on the way to the hospital.

I got a lollipop.

That's all I remember.

Hey, he probably doesn't want to get involved in our personal business.

So, what kind of work do you do?

Business development and Marketing for The Gartner TCO group. They do competitive analysis and benchmarking for the IT helpdesk or tech support areas.

Hey, I know how that is. I type like 100 words a minute, but most of the words are "alt-tab".

What kinda stuff do you like to do in your off-hours?

Oh, you write poetry? That is really cool. What kind of poetry do you like to write? I do some writing myself, but it's more along the lines of humor columns and observational essays and stuff like that.

The anatomy of dreams
------------------------

Dreams are mere shadows
of a creatures existence
a silent reminder
that reality is vain
our private entrance
to an altered universe
a bird's eye view
of a fleeting astroplane

A mutable element
in a harmonious concoction
a controlled substance
absorbed by the brain
an unanswered question
a word never spoken
an answerless riddle
rewriting the sane

Wow... I mean, that's just-- wow! Very beautiful. Have you ever been published?

Nope... My mom has her masters degree in fine arts and is the greatest painter I have ever seen in my life...and she is dead broke. I learned a long time ago to keep my art/music/poetry as a hobbie and to rely on my communication skills and business training for money.
