I showed my wife The Ring (the American version with Naomi Watts) a couple weeks ago and she seemed to like it. It's one of my favorite movies. I was on Reddit reading about it and people kept discussing "It Follows."

Do not rent It Follows. It's fucking terrible!

Maaaybe an okay premise which I won't completely spoil, but everyone in it does a terrible job, tons of plot holes, awful acting and none of it is so bad that it is good. Avoid!!!!!

It has a 78 on MRQE, which is possibly the highest I have ever seen for a horror movie. Are you sure you just don't have unspeakably godawful taste?

When you say The Ring is one of your favorite movies are you talking about a top 100 or a favorite in its category?

Pinback: You are right, it has INCREDIBLE Metacritic, IMDB, Reddit reviews. And I am telling you, as one man to the other - it's terrible and you'll see it as such if you see it, which I hope you don't.

Mays: I dunno man. If I had to name 100 movies I like off the top of my head, sure, I'd put The Ring in there.
