Vijay Singh vs. Annika

Boy, if I wasn't such a positive-minded person and so against any kind of negative thought or expression, I could sure do a number on ol' Vijay Singh on his most recent comments.

But, you know, if you can't say something nice, don't say it at all!

That's a great attitude you have there, pinback! It really cheers me up to hear such positive thinking. Out of curiosity, though, what might a negative person say about Vijay Singh's recent comments? I just want to know so that I can catch it if I see it and recommend to that speaker to be more positive and considerate.

It's really not appropriate for me to really get into it, for fear I might slip back into my old, negative ways!

However, I feel Vijay may have overstepped the bounds of decency just a tad by suggesting that Annika "doesn't belong" at the Colonial. Of course she does! She's one of the greatest golfers of all time, and was given a sponsor's exemption to play! If anyone belongs, she belongs. It's not the "Men's Professional Golf Association" is it? It's the "Professional Golf Association"! And she's a professional golfer of the highest order!

Verbally expressing your desire for her to fail, and suggesting that you will withdraw from the tournament if you are paired with her, well... well, that's just not nice!

And is there anything more valuable in these difficult times than being nice? C'mon! Let's all be nice!

I disagree with what the man said about as much as a person *can* disagree with him. But let's not forget you can hold any opinion you want to hold in this country, regardless of whether it makes you come off as a sexist caveman or not.

HAHAHAHAHAH Oh, right, I was talking about the United States as I SEE IT IN MY DREAMS AT NIGHT, not as it is.
