Jolt Country

I didn't solidify this opinion until Westworld came out, and I said, huh, this theme song sounds a lot like the GoT theme, and then noticed it was done by the same guy. And they were similar in this way, and why I don't like them:

They center around a main theme which is repeated over and over, the entire song. I forget what it was in Westworld because I'm trying to forget that show, but the famous, vaunted GoT theme is:

DA da, dada DA da, dada DA da... etc.

Ad nauseating. And the last 15 seconds of the theme are ONLY that, and it starts to sound like one of those Family Guy jokes which goes on until it's not funny, and then goes on even longer until it's funny again.

So I declare here, the GoT theme sucks. (And so does the Westworld theme.)

Never watched it. Don't care to. Sounds stupid.

Well, I'm not saying GoT is a bad SHOW. It's very good, if you like that sort of thing, which I, y'know, ehhh.

Just, bad THEME SONG.

Is all.

The only version of that song I've heard is the one that keeps repeating 'Peter Dinklage' over and over.

True. I would like to note, for Aardvark's sake, that the words "peter dinklage" aren't, like, a description of the show to come or anything, it's just a dude's name.

GoT sucks but I watch anyway, as a show. It is, ah, okay? for that sort of thing. It's got enough signature moments to make me have the rest of it in a 320x200 window on the other monitor when I'm programming.

The theme song is an abomination and why the ending to the Red Wedding was only the second worst thing to ever happen to those people.
