Ha, those were the days.

I know. How many days ago was it where Roy threw a complete game into the 10th and our two backup infielders bunted their way onto base, before Rios drove one of them in with a sac to win the game? It feels like a lifetime ago. Honestly, it feels like you'd have to acknowledge that Rios broke the color barrier in baseball, because that game I am speaking of MUST have taken place 60 years ago.

Code: Select all

Reed Johnson 32.5 0.5
Alex Rios 29.0 6.1
Vernon Wells 59.8 26.0
Aaron Hill 18.7 14.2
Lyle Overbay 36.3 16.9
Yeah, PECOTA is right on their way with those horrible predictions. (Well, they might get Reed's correct.) Rios has to be at "6" already with the way he's been playing.

Why the fuck were all the Saturday games blacked out on MLB.tv today? What the fucking FUCK?

Answer: FOX blacks out all Saturday day games on MLB.tv in order to get you to watch the game, which you may have no interest in, on FOX.

I absolutely, 100%, totally and completely hate major league baseball.

I am posting this link:

Because it is possibly the greatest thing to ever happen in baseball. A bunch of Cleveland Indian fans heckle Vernon Wells for a few innings, Wells gets a baseball and a pen and... well, the link does a better job explaining.

Oh. The kids are getting a chance to pitch and it looks like Glaus isn't half as hurt as we thought he'd be: I'm back on the bandwagon. I'm going to try to catch the kid from Double A's first start tomorrow.

Jesse Litsch, 8 and 2/3rds innings, 21 ground ball outs, one run allowed and the win. Yeah, just hanging out in Double-A, just chillin'.

So.

Marcum gave us 6 innings of no hit baseball (not no-run like I said before) and Litsch just dominated a lineup which, while not great, is still in the AL East (and still a better team than we are this year).

Christ, that wild card spot is within reach, LET'S GO!!!
