I was fortunate enough to watch the Saints/Skins game with Pinback today. I have not heard from him, but I know it was pretty snowy out there. I did appreciate having someone to watch what was an insane game with.
When the Redskins kicker missed that field goal, I really thought the Saints had a chance. I was also in dire straits as I had terrible stomach problems throughout most of the second half.
Towards the end I was praying - praying that the Skins would use one of their two remaining timeouts. So I could take a timeout.
I really need to get a DVR.

Hey, I wonder what former FEMA asshole Michael Brown has to say about the Super Bowl, surely this incompetent piece of human garbage doesn't have a publi --
http://www.politico.com/click/stories/1 ... aints.html
Former FEMA chief Michael Brown isn't the most popular guy in New Orleans, and his Super Bowl pick won't help: "I have to go with the Colts," Brown told the POLITICO Podcast. "I just tend to follow them more and I've just never been a real Saints fan. It's nothing more than that."
I've never really been a huge 49ers fan, but I don't think I'd let San Francisco fall into the ocean, if it were my job to ensure that American cities don't fall into the ocean.
The former Bush administration official admits he has his fair share of callers bashing him, saying that some "can't get over the whole Katrina thing." His approach with such callers is "get it out of your system and now let's talk rationally.
Jesus Christ, guys! Don't be so tedious
!!
e has a good sense of humor about being called "Brownie" and Bush's notorious "heckuva job" comment, joking that he's trademarked the two phrases.
"It'll cost you $25 every time you say it."
He's raising money to upgrade those levees after all! NEVER COUNT BROWNIE OUT
He hasn't spoken to Bush in years, he says, but would welcome the former president on his program. Does the radio gig signal a return to public life, perhaps even back into government?
Not a chance, says Brown. "There would have to be two conditions: Either I'm a millionaire and my wife is deceased."
Is there ANYTHING that the guy is involved with that doesn't make him come off as wholly incompetent? Nice truth table there, shithead, Christ, maybe the levees didn't hold because Brownie programmed them.

Wow, Saints all the way. When's the last time they came out so strong?
Congrats!

Thread title FAIL. The Pats did not score 28 points. You suck at predictions, RoBbeaux.

I am intending to write a blog post about the Saints' Super Bowl Victory, and RJ being in the hall of fame this weekend. I've got some rough thoughts down, but that's it.
It's been a hell of a week.
I'd like to thank Flack, Jack Straw and Tdarcos for keeping the place hopping while I've been away. I will revisit all threads!

Not at all.
I got my copy of ... well:
I'm gonna put a decal on my car for the first time ever. (Er, of any car. Not just the Subaru, but that's true, too.) And how about that, I need one of those coffee mugs you carry coffee in, and a scotch tumbler. Thank God "World Champs" versions of both exist.
Oh, and I should write a blog post about the SB too. I haven't even had a chance to watch the game again yet, just the 4th quarter.

pinback wrote:I sat there (really) flipping through NFL stat pages, writing the various yearly records down into notepad, and then using calc.exe to add up the numbers. Tell me that shit was made up? I'll shove this tennis ball down your fuckin' throat.
And as of today, it's now:
121-151-1

123-150
The Saints BURSTING into a COMMANDING lead.
And as for three Super Bowl wins and played in five THAT WAS TEN THOUSAND YEARS AGO. Jesus Christ, were you doing the same thing in '04 when the Sawx won the Series? "COME ON GUYS CHILL, U GUYS ALREADY WON IN LIKE 1918. OMG."
Okay, I'm willing to concede this point now.
I hope the Redskins win the Super Bowl the next time the Saints aren't in the playoffs. I'd say "next year," but I want the Saints to make another run, of course.
It's time we all started pulling for Pinner. My sports grief, with the Jays and Saints former CHAMPIONS, has been eliminated.
