I've been doing the same thing for years. Anything addressed to "Rob C. O'Hara" came from a catalog, for example. I used to sign up for magazine subscriptions under "Rob M. O'Hara" but eventually I just switched to Jack Flack. I have a stack of magazines in the corner addressed to Mr. Flack.

"Desperately Seeking Susan."

I am saying that "Desperately Seeking Susan" is superior to Zodiac.

I need Pinback to write his review.

Also, having watched it four times now, Zodiac is one of the 20 best movies I've ever seen. It is brilliant.

I really didn't like Zodiac the first time I watched it.

Personal reasons with it and my obsessions with the Zodiac cased kept me from giving it a honest chance.

After leaving my Zodiac Killer obsession alone for a while and then coming back to it, it made me want to try the movie again. But I wanted to see it NICE on bluray. No bluray was available at the time, so I ended up importing a region free special edition bluray from France. I did that to watch a movie I previously didn't enjoy.

And this time I LOVED it. It's now my second favorite movie ever.

If you only saw this movie back when it originally came out on a shitbox DVD, I highly recommend checking it out on bluray. In real HD it is a gorgeous movie.

Should I see this movie? I'm hesitant because this film was sold to me as something like "7," or "The General's Daughter" and this 1. confused me and 2. caused me to immediately dismiss it.

Pinback gave it 4/4 stars. I'd give it 3/4 stars. Lethargic said he loved it.

Can we please launch a kickstarter to help RetroRomper raise the dollar needed to rent this?

Retro, you should see the movie. It's not like Se7en. Though Fincher should have called this movie Z0diac to reflect the number of dollars you must have on you if you aren't watching this movie right after reading this post.

No, don't watch it now. You have to watch it in the dark.

I forget what else I was going to say about it.

It's still great! GREAT!!

I have a book of cryptograms in the bathroom. Every time I blast a dooter in there, I do so whilst solving cryptograms. I'm now a cryptogram fucking master!

I feel like I could solve the Zodiac case at this point. Maybe the next time I have a giant platter of cheese enchiladas.
When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.

Ah, the perfect Christmas gift for Ben -- a roll of toilet paper with the Zodiac code printed on it.

There's only one code that hasn't been cracked. The "340" code. There's always some crackpot who comes along and claims to have cracked it but then it never gets verified.

I think the code is complete crap and there is no answer.

In reality, Zodiac didn't really kill that many people. It seems like the letters and the puzzles and the screwing with the cops and the press was the much bigger thrill of it all. It eventually got to a point where he wasn't killing anymore, all he was doing was writing the paper and taking credit for things he obviously didn't do.

It seems to me this code was just another way of him screwing with people. Put out this massive code and then laugh as people tried to solve something that had no answer.

People have built this thing up like oooh, if we solve this we'll finally get him!! This thing has been studied for over 40 years by some of the most brilliant de-coders the CIA, FBI, NSA, NCAAP have to offer and still nothing? There ain't no answer.

Whoa! I didn't know the others had been cracked!

Have you read Graysmith's books? Which one should I read, if I only read one? I was told that he forgot to tell you who the Zodiac was in the first book.

Oh, you answered this on Flack's forum.

I shall get........ Zodiac: Unmasked! And then I will read it and I will also know who the Zodiac totally is.

He didn't forget. He just changed his name so he wouldn't get sued.

It's Graysmith. Who else profited? Dude was the cartoonist at the paper, then all these murders happen and he inserts himself into the case and becomes a best selling author? HE DID IT!!!!! I KNOW IT!!!!! Either him or Edward Nigma.

Damn, I had awful opinions. Christ.

Zodiac is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I was really wrong. Like lethargic said, it didn't grab me the first time, but in later viewings (for me, viewings 2-10) it DID.

What a damn fine movie.

And in this case I do differ with the general populace, as in this particular case I DO think the family did it.
