Leather froot boots for motorcycle gear!
Don't make light of proper motorcycle footwear.
My boss told me this story:
Her husband drove a truck for Ralphs Grocery Company. Although they owned two cars, he liked to commute to work on his motorcycle. But, he went prepared. Full helmet, leather jacket, leather pants, steel-toe boots. Well, one day he had a spill, his body landed, not his head, so his helmet is undamaged; his jacket was ripped to shreds; his pants were torn; and the front of his shoes lost all the leather and the steel cap was dented. His bike was undamaged, and other than a little shaken, he was not injured. Had he not been fully protected, he would have ripped off chunks of flesh and lost all of his toes.
After hearing that story I realized anyone riding a motorcycle should wear steel-toed footwear. I saw a movie once where a girl in a bikini is driving a motorcycle
barefoot. I'm thinking ("That girl is risking death or badly injured and doesn't even Iknow it.")
Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.
