Okay, so they changed it. I hadn't looked at the latest one; I couldn't afford it so I ignored it. The original one is mentioned as using the USB connector to charge it. While my first full 30-frames-per-second camera did use a rechargeable battery pack that was charged through the USB port, you could remove it.
