Game 9: Abuse (Crack Dot Com, 1995).

https://www.joltcountry.com/index.php/f ... t-com-1995

There is no agreement as to whether this game was released in 1995 or 1996, so I went with 1995. I also have a distinct memory that the protagonist was called "Dr. Nick Vrenna" in the game's initial crawl, but I cannot find any evidence of this.

If you have Nick's university transcripts, please let me know. I think he did the "doctor shooting everything" well before Gordon Freeman in Half-Life but I can't prove it. I don't like that Nick Vrenna was trying to complete his Ph.D when the events of Abuse happened, because then it means that it was a school shooting game 3 years before Columbine. THIS CAN GO DIFFERENT WAYS

Game 10: Zwackery (Midway, 1985).

Wikipedia and KLOV says 1984. Mobygames says 1985. The manual I found a PDF has Roman numerals, but I translated them. I did it for you. 1985.

I want this goddamn monstrosity in my garage arcade. Someday.

Any game with little guys paratrooping down to the surface that has guns in it is asking you a deeply personal question. About yourself. About you, is what I am saying.

Game 13: Food Fight (Atari, 1983)

We have gone from learning about games to where I learn something about myself. I have no more articles saved up or "in the bank." Today's article hung over me. What changed with me? What can I learn about myself here, when it comes to self-discipline? I wanted to commit to 52 articles. At 13 (and granted, the first couple of weeks I did two articles) something has changed in me. I had no jokes for a game I absolutely love.

Why. What is happening.

I get it, bro.

In a way we want to say “time flies by the older you get!”, but the true meaning behind that is that hopefully we have found things (including work) we are enthusiastic about and just always feeling like we ain’t getting shit done fast enough; despite producing things at least with better quality than we did in just the previous couple of years.

If there were any time in our lives for keeping up with the clock as close as we did with Spellcasting 101-301 it is probably now.

The best thing in video games is Spider-Man webbing up the windows of offices of New Yorkers working late.

Game 15: Adventure Construction Set (Electronic Arts, 1986).

Originally created for the Commodore 64 in 1985(!), ACS was ported to a few key systems. Let's look at the Amiga version now that I have my Amiga working. Shall we?

Hell yeah. An excellent game I still play! One of the best hockey games ever made.

Also, I didn't know you got an Everdrive for Genesis! As you heard, I've been on a Sega Master System kick lately, but after I play it out I'm considering buying a Mega Drive (I owned a Genesis and a Sega Cdx back in the day) and an Everdrive cart for it.

Game 16: Protector (Alex Herbert, 2003).

This is the greatest game made for the Vectrex.
