Ooh La La by Run the Jewels is excellent overall, but even just for the line about steak tartare and oysters on the half shell. Can we post YouTube links on this thing?

Hell yeah! My mom loved Easy E. My favorite NWA tune is Boyz In The Hood! I know all the lyrics. I used to ride out with my big ass blue tooth speaker in my wheelchair , blasting that song in the morning. But I can no longer use the speaker bc although 90% of staff dance to my music and find it a welcome distraction, 1 supervisor Rockelle says that I'm "disturbing the peace" and she ran to administration who had no choice other than to shut me down :( waaaaa :(

AH-HAAAA!!!
I finally found "new style" rap song/rapper that I can totally identify with after 1999! A younger, very cool co-worker was blasting it via a Bluetooth speaker yesterday. I was paying close attention to note lyric lines because the feel and some of the words were sending chills down my spine. I get home and trying to look up the song with said lines and can't find shit and gave up after an hour. I've only known this guy like 4 days at this point so I don't want to walk up to him and be like "Uh you know the song where like he's in pain and at some point says he's turning purple?"
This morning, the 2nd song he plays is THE song! I throw down my paint stick and was like "BRO. What the FUCK is this song? I spent an hour looking for it yesterday!" and he told me the track was "unreleased" from a dead rapper and could be very hard to find. Then, he showed me how to find it:

I have better recommendations based off this song from my long-time friend "Chips" who also happens to be a black male but thanks anyway. I just can't see any of the people you mentioned having lyrics hit me on the same level as this.
(I used to do a lot of really bad drugs when I was younger, the "purp" almost killed me when I actually turned purple, bad relationship choices probably also due to drugs, etc)

You're gonna hate me for this, but my guilty pleasure is Lil Wayne.
