My 100 Favorite Songs of All-Time

This is an utterly preposterous band, with a completely preposterous song, and due to the fact that the video features at least three top-shelf chicks, it gets the nod over things vying for the last spot, which could have possibly been a Billy Ocean song, and nobody wants that. The man looks like a Billy Goat! How does he not shave that thing?

The bit, in the actual song at the last spot, features a couple fun parts - surely, the "her bone structure screams, ' Touch her! Touch her!'" will have you singing along by the end of the song if you don't totally hate the genre ... and I'm aware that, except for me and the dreamcatchers of some thirteen year old girls, that everyone does - but my favorite part is the line about jealousy being the cousin of greed. I don't know why that cracks me up. Perhaps it's because of the expression on the singer's face when he delivers it in the video. Who can ever really tell.

Unlike a computer games list, I don't profess to have a list of the 100 best songs or anything. These are just ones that I dig, and with most songs being available on Youtube in some form or another, it makes doing this possible.

You're probably going to come to the conclusion, at the end of all this, that I was molested by an uncle at the age of twelve and my musical tastes never really changed from there. You might find a catchy song in this list that you grow to like as well. You might distance yourself from me at an ever increasing rate as this list continues to progress, ultimately failing to return my e-mails and leaving me to communicate with you exclusively through lipstick and window. That's cool, that's all right, we can work around it -- I have several attractive shades to pick from and when it comes to people calling the music I like unbearably shitty, ah well, most of you motherfuckers live in glass houses anyway. Ahoy!

Youtube takes the exact middle of the video for its screen preview frame. I think this is why you see so many videos with go-nowhere horseshit at the beginning (to pad for a screenshot the auteur wishes to have represent his work).

Did you just make a "kids today and their hair" comment? What birthday did you just recently celebrate? 40?
