yep, and I went with it. I was apprehensive at first, but that's just my nature - trust no one...

but my gut was right. I haven't read this whole thread and don't even know if the wolves have been revealed (probably) but if I was to guess it'd be worm and vit.
We could have won this, you asshole peasants. Dirty ass medieval wastes of space, the lot of you!

ChainGangGuy, Lysander, and gsdgsd were revealed upon their deaths to be peasants. Ice Cream Jonsey was revealed upon his death to be the Seer, and Jack Straw was the Mouth of the Seer. I was a peasant, and Vitriola tells me that he was too. Worm has admitted to being one of the wolves, leaving Vark as the only possibility for the other wolf.

To sum up:

Wolves
Vark
Worm

Peasants
ChainGangGuy
gsdgsd
hygraed
Lysander
Vitriola

Seer
Ice Cream Jonsey

Mouth of the Seer
Jack Straw

Wait, "The Mouth of the Seer" is a specific thing? I just thought that was some ICJ-ism. Look, if you just got one guy to admit to being the seer outright to swing the vote you could have won. However you were all too busy and ANXIOUS to lynch guys you had NO IDEA ABOUT, that you lost the fucking game on your own. I barely had to employ my MASSIVE GENIUS BRAIN.
Good point Bobby!

No, it's not.

Yeah, it is.

Hey, another rule: peasants shouldn't have out-of-band communications about the game. The wolves get to collude, but everything that people say when picking a victim should be said in the public debate before the lynching. Don't PM/IM people to say "I'm the seer, and I know that hygraed is the werewolf." If you're going to announce you're the seer, do it in public.

Also: traditionally the debate period goes on until there's a consensus over who to lynch. I think it's more fun to string up someone the second there's a majority (and I happen to log in and notice). I mean, after all, lynch mob.

So I think I'm going to have Vark sit this one out, because we'll be done long before Tuesday. So right now I've got six players and me. I think two more players would be ideal, and then one will get eaten before the game starts. If only one more person wants to sign up, it could be Vark who got eaten the first night.

If we start with a lynching, then I think that maybe I should randomly generate, once I have the seer, a player that the seer dreamed about the night before. So the seer will start knowing that one other player, at random, is or isn't a werewolf, and everyone will know that it's not completely random who the mob picks. But only if we start with an odd number of people (other than me) and thus want to begin the game with a lynching.

Where did Edit go?

For the record, Vit didn't tell me he was a peasant until after the game was over.

This is a crappy rule.
I didn't believe ICJ at first, and he didn't reveal that he was the seer to me until I poked and prodded why he claimed to know worm was a wolf.. I made it clear I wasn't going to be fucked with and there were a few PM's before he finally admitted he was the seer. (and even then I didn't fully believe him)

hence the, i'll vote for worm now and if he's not a wolf, we'll lynch the fucker who told me to vote for worm.

I wasn't even going to reveal who the "seer" was unless I was close to being lynched, and then I'd PM you with "ICJ claims he's the seer" as my dying declaration.

I dunno, I think implementing that rule would remove a bunch of strategy and FUN. Why can't anyone PM anyone?

Whoa! How would I have ever gotten anyone on my side then? And done a "circle of trust"? As soon as I announce my seerness I am a dead man.

But, of course, I welcome playing that way. Your random program will once again make me the seer because in REAL life I have a third eye that sees all (tells some).

Also: traditionally the debate period goes on until there's a consensus over who to lynch. I think it's more fun to string up someone the second there's a majority (and I happen to log in and notice). I mean, after all, lynch mob.
I agree!

Lynch mobs want blood. They CRAVE blood. Latin blood is like 2000 blood because it's so HOT and they love that too, but they will take my 450 blood if they must. They don't care, so long as it's red.

also:
this is funny. forever I pictured hygraed as a woman. I don't know why, for some reason i thought it was one of ben's weeklong squeezes or something. And now hygraed thinks vit's a man.

Aaah, the irony.

Yeah, get up on the history, or something. Did he think ICJ had a boyfriend?

Why not?

Because that would just encourage the wolves to claim they are the seer and create a massive amount of confusion, complicate the game, and make it basically pointless. The inability of peasants to collude is supposed to make you CAREFUL ABOUT LYNCHING YOUR OWN. Rather than obtuse decisions made after warning one anothe to 60% on AIM.

For all I knew, ICJ was a wolf and sent the same carbon copy PM to everyone else playing.

It was FUN trying to figure out whether he was fucking with me or was trying to help me. Voting for me to be lynched was another fly in the ointment.

fun.. remember that?

It's perfectly fun as it is. With the transparency.

I really don't want it to be an AIM-fest of "do you like me y/n".

Ah. So Vit's female. Oops.

Why did you picture me as a woman, and what tipped you off that I was of the male persuasion?

Let's stay focused on the D&D nerd rules here.

I really don't know. Obviously, I wasn't paying anywhere near full attention to you + your posts, it was just the image in my head when I see that specific arrangement of letters on the left of the screen.

Just like when I see pinback, I immediately think "douche" .

So, Straw, are you in?

Also, obviously I can't STOP you guys from IM/PMming one another.

However, in the actual game, you can't, because you're sitting around the table and it would be real weird during the lynching phase to say, "hey, gsdgsd, come in the other room with me, I gotta tell you something."

Unless you were Mark Foley, I mean.

along the same lines, whenever I see "450" I immediately think virile, roguishly handsome, etc., it's weird

I won't PM anyone. And as for IM, the entire map of conversations I've had over IM in the last few days can be summed up with me yelling at my brother for the money he owes me - not BBS Werewolf: The Game sensitive!

Depends on if there's an even or odd number. I could care either way. Unless you start adding so many rules and restrictions that this starts to look like a D&D book.
