Lawrence of Arabia...

Post by Debaser »

...is really fucking long. I got to the part like two hours in where I figured it was over and then they go to INTERMISSION. I had to turn it off there and go to bed. Maybe they should add more shots of people coming from a great distance away across the desert.

I thought they already did. In realtime.

Haha, they probably do, and you were making a joke. I have never seen it, but have only heard it was long. My apologies. It was, apparently, the obvious way to go.

Another one of my favorites. Yes it is loooong. But so was Titianic and LOTR. It was the first movie I saw in letterbox format and thought;'this is cool.'

I like the end part where T.E. is almost totally whacked out.

What a great movie. is that on DVD yet? now I have to get it.

I saw this movie for the first time within the last year. I like Peter O'Toole a lot, but I didn't think there was a whole lot to this movie other than Peter O'Toole being great in it.

I don't think I'd watch it again.

If guest posting were enabled, "Hand Shots in LOTR" would be posting about the endless sand shots in LoA, for what it's worth. Goddamn the Russians for making this not happen. And God Bless them.

Not winning a lot of points.

But, anyway, I finished the movie tonight. Peter O'Toole has scary eyes; I think he's actually possessed by a very flamboyant demon. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone without a lot of attention span; the filthy arabs were entertaining though.

O'Toole is my favorite non-Arab playing an Arab since Antonio Banderas played one in the 13th Warrior.
