[Review] Pollock

Post by pinback »

Here is a movie, the quality of which flows up and down in direct relationship to the life of the main character. As his creative juices begin to flow, and his life begins to shape up, the movie in turn gets infused with energy and grabs our interest.

Then when he starts falling apart again, the movie follows suit.

Jackson Pollock is, in the movie, quoted as saying, "I do not use the accident, I deny the accident." I'm sure Ed Harris would like to deny the "accident" described above, but as a viewer, I can't.

Still, good, interesting middle part.

Two and a half stars.
