To paraphrase your words back at you, I repeat a line from Robert A. Heinlein's To Sail Beyond the Sunset, i which a young man asks his mother why the video telephones in Kansas City are standard def, while the ones in Dallas are HD. She says, "Donald, whenever someone asks 'why did they?' or 'why don't they'?' the answer is almost always, 'money'."

I think the tag at the end would have been better if you said:

Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.

I just feel they have already told the story, and did a pretty good job of it. Tell a different story in the HP world (I said this about Star Wars) but make up new unique characters

Well, if it's even half as good as the Amazon series LotR: The Rings of Power then we're in for a real treat!

Why would you have Sauron be an actual character? Huh?!

IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!

I tried watching the first episode of the LOTR series. I did not enjoy it.

I think I'm gonna buy a copy of The Hobbit to read to my nephew.

I read that in 8th grade the year I took homeschool. I had read some of the first LOTR book but the Hobbit was much easier to finish. I also really enjoyed reading Hans and the Silver Skates that year.

I trird reading Teh Hobbit in school but could not get into it. I was all about sci-fi, fantasy didn't spark up for me. It wasn't until my twenties that I got through it. Then of course I had to read Lord of the Rings.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get through The Hobbit at all. I don't GET IT, but this kid is going to end up a Chad-level jock without me pushing the nerd and dork angle, so I gotta do what I gotta do.

I think my biggest motivation for getting through The Hobbit was that it was comparatively easier than trying to accomplish basically anything in the Melbourne House The Hobbit text game (which I had attempted first). I did enjoy it in the end, though.

What took you off of it so quickly if I may ask?
