WOW, I guess you can park those things anywhere, and they double as a.....a... Oh, one of those boxes they stuff you into after you die, instead of burying you, ya know? Damn, I can't think of the name right now. Actually they stick your ashes in there but with a Smart Car you don't need to be cremated.

I like how they photographed the car in front of the Brooklyn Bridge in an attempt to give it some class.

Those Smart cars are all over Seattle these days. Purely city cars, though. They're so short they can barely hold a straight line at 50 mph even without a crosswind.

The guy I sit next to has one (well, his wife does). He and I are both, uh, "plus-sized" gentlemen and the one time we both rode in it at lunch we enjoyed having our bellies touch the entire time. And by "enjoyed" I mean "extremely awkward".

I paid my car off on Friday. I thought when I did so, I'd like immediately start looking at new cars. This isn't going to happen. I am driving the 04 Subaru WRX until it's got two bolts touching each other. It's going to take either the heat death of the universe or something throwing it at Magneto for me to stop driving this car.

I've always wanted a WRX but I assumed, being a performance-type car, that they would have a pretty high maintenance record so I never pursued it. I actually like the new WRX hatchbacks but I guess a lot of people don't. Then again I think the older-style Scion XB's are cool and I wanted a Civic hatchback back when people still called them station wagons, so my style-preferences may not be in touch with the common public's.

What I was really saving up for was a Mazdaspeed 3 until I started searching car forums and reading about all the people who were rebuilding their engines due to running their turbos long and hard. Still, I dig that car.
