Welcome to Mellow Week at Jolt Country

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

Greetings!

It has come to my attention that things have been a little prickly here lately. We've all been running a little hot.

Welcome to mellow week. The goals of Mellow Week are few but important:

1) This thread is a place to be kind to others.
2) No hitting
3) That includes in the gob
4) LOCKED
5) We can enjoy each others company.

Won't you join the rest of us in having a good, mellow week??

So you want us to be a little more Jimmy Buffett and a little less Sepultura? I think we can handle that for a week so I'm in. I suspect part of the problem lies in the fact that we forgot to celebrate Crush-a-Bitch Day again this year and as a result a lot of built up tension was never released.

I'LL START!

Bryan is just the perfect Mr Rogers of Jolt Country. Never has an unkind word for anyone.
ICJ is a literal saint for creating this community. I have been in contact with the Pope about the process for canonization but he told me people have to dead long enough that they become a myth, which is frankly just theologically unsupportable.
Flack provides a constant stream of cultural review and criticism That is as insightful as it is enjoyable.
The Commander is always here to provide a very unique take on world events.
Aardvark provides Crazy Doodles which is more than enough, but then also shows us an amazing series of construction projects!
Retro has a boundless enthusiasm for video game conservation, which is something that passes sorely un-noticed in this world.
Pinback entertains with alternately enjoyable contrarian posts and cooking recipes.
Knuckles is a drive-by Box O' RAGE

People I have missed, you are interesting and valuable contributors who I can't pull an interesting fact out of my gin-sodden brain at the moment. Others will continue the Great Work of this thread, so do not feel slighted!

Fellas,

When I woke up Monday morning there was a dead mouse in the basement. Clyde (cat) presumably killed it. Not sure how it got in.

I had to pick the mouse's corpse up and chuck it down the hill, returning it to nature.

Have you ruled out in a roller skate that acted as a tiny car?

"I'm just mad about Fourteen
Fourteen's mad about me
I'm just mad about Fourteen
She's just mad about me
They call me mellow yellow
They call me mellow yellow
(Quite rightly)
They call me mellow yellow
Born high forever to fly
Wind velocity nil
Wanna high forever to fly
If you want your cup our fill
They call me mellow yellow."

I did not enjoy Mellow Week.
I don't have to say anything. I'm a doctor, too.

I did my best to abide by it with this post that was pure aces and totally flew under the radar but it seemed like your call for mellow week was just code to attack me for no reason whatsoever.

I asked two people if they knew what you were talking about and nobody did. It was a bad post, Billy.

Well, the mouse is too small to drive a normal sized car so it uses a a roller skate for one instead. It's adorable and funny.

No. Imagine the mouse sitting down inside the roller skate like you or I would inside a car, then imagine the mouse driving the roller skate around.
