I think it's more of an art thing rather than a safety thing. He was showing what he could do with metal. I doubt he's going to ride it much.

Well, one would certainly want to believe that so they could sleep at night.

In completely different news my neighbor is a large man with a shaved head covered in multicolor flame tattoos. We call him Ghost Rider.

Update: the guy lives down the road from me and has the bike running again. I can hear it every time he fires it up. He hasn't ridden it yet, don't know why

Update: he rode it home in a rainstorm, drove down a road just after a farmer spread manure in an adjacent field. Result: got the innards of the motorcycle all splashed up with shitwater. Not good with an open primary and all those vents and stuff.
