It kills me that they go from commenting on a video to flaming each other in less than ten posts. My young retard, indeed. I am so glad the internet has brought all the douchbags (not my word, people) together for peace and harmony.

In other news:

Some dangers of nootropics include, but are not limited to:

* Downregulation of neurological activity upon stimulation, resulting in a permanent or temporary hypoactive system and/or addictive properties (applies to dopamine, choline, and many other neurotransmitter systems)
* Serotonin syndrome from serotonergic agents
* Excessive acetylcholine receptor activation - see acetylcholinesterase inhibitor
* Heart failure, such as that from stimulants or any substance which alters heart rate
* Organ failure such as liver failure and kidney failure

I'm back, and baby, I'm ready to sign! Where can I get some? I want to say "yeso" to nootropics.

Dude. DUDE.

They're nootropics. They help your brain. They don't hurt it at all. For piracetam, there are no side effects and no periods of withdrawl, if, you know, you happen to run out of pills for a bit because both your suppliers were late to ship.

They are completely unregulated, as they should be. It's basically exchanging currency for a better, faster, more-alert brain.

(I also had to take a drug test for my new job and I passed, even though piracetam and choline were in my system. Like I said - harmless.)

Please, I beg of you - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piracetam

Ok, but don't say I didn't warn you when you run amok in a post office and kill everyone with pencils from a mensa test or something.

This stuff isn't like natural herb technology. I can understand why they don't have FDA approval yet.

You're quoting Wikipedia? OK, I'll allow it, but realize no modern college professor would unless it's one of MCC's massage therapy freaks.
Piracetam also seems to inhibit brain damage caused by a variety of factors including hypoxia and excessive alcohol consumption.[6][7]

It's not that I am quoting Wikipedia, as I can't think of any other websites on the Internet that talk about it, except this one.

OK, everyone shut up, this is the thing - I am sensitive about my use of nootropics. Now, you all have a decision:

1) Understand that I really had a heart-to-heart with myself before coming to grips with the fact that my brain was slowly dying, and that I demonstrably felt stupider than the "me" of even five years ago. It was a difficult decision, and you can all comport yourselves with grace and understanding in what was honestly a tough choice for me. Or:

2) You can troll the living shit out of me

If it's the latter, I am extremely sensitive about it doing damage to my brain and people saying that it doesn't really do anything, like it's ginseng or something. Those are the two "money" avenues to explore if you want to send me into a paranoid rage about nootropics.

All I'm saying is that I love them and I ain't never going back.
