I would not only put Patrice on my top comedian list, I would put him #1 on my list of people who ever lived.

I bought a Boston jacket because Patrice was from Boston. It's not a sports jacket. It's just a jacket that says Boston on it. So out and about people will stop me and ask about the "game" because they think it's a Red Sox jacket. I have no idea what happened in the game, this is my Patrice jacket.

Why did Patrice wear a jacket of the most racist city on Earth?

I disqualify George Carlin because, though he may have been the one to do it first, any comedian who does a "what's the deal with airplanes/airline food/airline policy/etc." bit is immediately off the list.

Cosby's shit is as fresh as freshly baked cookies.

I want to put Gottfried on there. He belongs in the discussion.

Dennis Wolfberg was Brian Regan before Brian Regan existed. He was never as good as Regan, but people forget him and they shouldn't.

Hedberg might be the only one nobody in the world would disagree with (except for Lethargic, because... well.)

This comment brought to you by the same blithering idiot who just disqualified George Carlin from a best stand up comedian list.

Mitch Hedberg and Louis CK are definitely on my list. I feel like Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock should be on the list.

There are lots of older people I'd like to put on the list. I'd like to add Sam Kineson. Sarah Silverman might make my list. David Cross might make my list. Jake Johannsen used to be one of my favorites.

There are lots of people that used to be really funny that changed over time and now I don't find funny. Margaret Cho used to be funny. Ellen Degeneres' early standup was funny. Janeane Garofalo used to be really funny.

Oh you people are so, Clueless:

1. Bob Hope
2. George Carlin
3. Lenny Bruce
4. Will Rogers
5. Phillis Diller

They did this when it was hard, I mean tough, dangerous, or unpopular. Hope went to war zones; Carlin was funny, made you think. Bruce was jailed, lost his cabaret license more than once (appeals courts routinely overturned his obscenity convictions). Will Rogers made a living when being a comic meant getting people to come see you during the depression was real money that's significant to them so you had to be really good, and Phillis Diller, well, showed us that you could still be funny even if you had a face like you'd used it to bob for French fries in boiling oil.

IMDB has a list of 100 comics, some I've never heard of, and some that are on your lists.

Will Rogers, that's an interesting choice. Do you have any links to his stand up material?

Could we get a link to some of your older stand-up material, Paul?

Exactly how could I have stand-up material, I'm in a wheelchair.

Re-doing my list because I have been watching Henny Youngman videos for the last week and he is absolutely one of the five best ever.

Louis CK, Patrice O'Neal, Mitch Hedberg, Henny Youngman and Brian Regan for me, thank you.

Bill Burr has really come into his own. The Netflix special on now (the black and white one) is hilarious, much better and more cohesive than the one from 2 years before.

I am not familiar with Maria.

Sell me on her. Sell me on her, Bugs! You've been on BBSs with me for nearly 20 years. Sell me on 'er.

And it's closer to 25 years.

So you're saying that 25 years is probably the cutoff point where people engage in conversation and instead tell each other to go Google it. I think I understand!

Maria Bamford, top 5 comedian, but maybe not possessing one of the top 5 most passionate fan bases.
