I can't sit down
I can't stand up
I can't walk straight
In my ass there's a snake

"Wide Awake" parodies.

Katy Perry has a song called "Wide Awake." I am not a Katy Perry fan but any time I turn on the radio in the car there's a 50% chance this song is on. The song has a very simple rhyme pattern consisting of three lines that (mostly) rhyme followed by the phrase "I'm Wide Awake." Two examples:

Yeah I was in the dark,
I was falling hard,
With an open heart,
I'm wide awake.

And now it's clear to me,
That everything you see,
Ain't always what it seems,
I'm wide awake.

We have begun doing stupid parodies of this song in the car. The "game" (if you can call it that) is to set up a punch line with the first three lines and then see if anyone can guess what the last line will be. The last line has to rhyme with "I'm wide awake."

For example:

I can't see over things,
And when the doorbell rings,
Can't see what the mailman brings,
I'm five-foot-eight.

And.

I'll shoot you in the face,
in this here virtual place,
I'll blow you into space,
I'm playin' Quake

And.

It's my vacation wish,
and if you like to fish,
they make a tasty dish,
I'm by the lake.

Truly, the entertainment possibilities are endless.

Also, my family is pretty bored.
