I suppose one sign of getting old is when you say "I remember when..." 82 times a day, but...
When I released Commodork in paperback in 2006, it cost me $4.05 to ship books in a flat rate envelope. I remember it distinctly because my area code is 405 and half the book is about the 405 area code. It's a fact I would definitely remember.
Today, it's $5.60.
And you're right, they arrive in 2 days. If I put them in a padded envelope and pay shipping, it's about half that and it arrives in 2-3 days. There's really no reason not to do it yourself at this point.
