ESPN writer Howard Bryant is a very stupid piece of shit. He wrote a terrible column here. Everything he has to say is worthless.

He does not believe that Edgar Martinez ought to be in the major league baseball Hall of Fame.

Here's an example of his logic:
Yes, Edgar Martinez joins Rogers Hornsby, Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams and Stan Musial as the only players to have a .300 batting average, 500 doubles and a .400 on-base percentage, but would anyone in his or her right mind actually choose to start a team with Martinez over any of those players?
I can swear a lot here, and it would make the point, but Howard Bryant is a dumb fucker and a terrible person. How do these people get jobs? How was he not dismissed for incompetence when his editor read that?

It makes my above post sound like I either don't know that Kelly, Thomas and Smith are in, or I don't think that O.J. and that guard they had in the 50s is in. I know all of these things!

Steve Tasker is a first ballot hall of famer.

Hey now! I watched the Bills every weekend growing up because (long rant about Directv deleted) I had no other options.

Plus, Jesus Christ the way you guys keep losing these games, I can't understand anyone not secretly pulling for Buffalo.

ANYWAY. Steve Tasker is a first ballot hall of famer. There's more distance between him and the next special teamer than Jerry Rice and the next receiver. You can have a discussion about who the second-best receiver is. You can't have a discussion about the second-best gunner / punt blocker / kick blocker because there is none.

Here are the Bills that ought to be in the Hall of Fame, by the way:

Jim Kelly
Thurman Thomas
Andre Reed
Kent Hull
Steve Tasker
Bruce Smith

I'm torn on Cornelius Bennett. Probably a "no," especially with Mills and Jackson never getting in. Jim Richter and Darryl Talley would be in whatever the hall is beneath the hall of fame. FUCK your secondary, however!!!

I, uh.... Guh, zuh-what? Bills love from ICJ? In my lifetime?

OK, which one of you douches hacked Robb's account?

There's a bunch of dumb goons at SA right now reveling in their retarded arguments as to why Steve Tasker doesn't belong. Goons are precious in their stupidity. If you pretend that each post is written when them roughly stroking the hed of a small mouse you've pretty much got it down.

The two guys who were routinely triple-teamed when I was growing up were Lawrence Taylor and Steve Tasker.

So, Edgar Martinez's OPS+ for his career is 147.

Here are the OPS+ for some other sluggers you may have heard of:

Alex Rodriguez: 147
Ken Griffey, Jr.: 139
Vladimir Guerrero: 146
Jeff Bagwell: 149

And some guys who are already in:

Willie Stargell: 147
Duke Snider: 140
Jim Rice: 128 (Jesus Christ)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the debate when Edgar is up for voting in a couple years. He should be a slam-dunk candidate. He played DH a lot, though, and the same baseball writers who couldn't care less about defense are suddenly going to be up in arms about it, and it's moronic. MORONIC IN ADVANCE!

Shannon Sharpe and Cris Carter.

Although some Vikes fag on KSK was whining about Carter not being in - THE VIKINGS GOT RANDALL McDANIEL, OFFENSIVE GUARD, IN THIS YEAR. People are now whining that they didn't have multiple people elected to the football hall of fame.

I am amazed that Bills owner Ralph Wilson made it in. He killed that team in the 1970s. Flat-out fucking killed that team.

I think it's funny that James Rice got in, but the equivalent borderline candidate/Yankee alum Don Mattingly continues to get dissed. I love listening to Yankee fans get their panties in a twist over that fucker. Screw those assholes.

I knew the whole murder thing, but I didn't know about the 100-peso fine. I've learned something new today.

JC FUN FAX: Lee Smith was actually elected in 2006, it's just that they are still waiting for him to finish walking up to the podium to make his speech.

Dan Quisenberry. (Works as the guy you can't believe Jim Rice is in over, and Bruce Sutter.)

I think Oh is in already.

Lee Smith
