Dungeons and Dragons 4.0

They revamped EVERYTHING once again. I'm still trying to get used to yet another system of game play.

The change in races, though interesting, is a bit annoying... they traded some of the simpler but interesting ones like gnomes for dragonborn...

The cool but complicated thing are all of the actions that can now be performed during an encounter. It's cool because now in addition to moving and attacking or casting or whatnot there are other abilities such as bumping someone 3 squares back while attacking or swapping places with your injured party member. It's complicated because each ability has it's own rules and number of uses, which are sometimes per battle, sometimes per day etc...

The group I play with has devised a cool plan for that- abilities are all written down on index cards making the info easy to access, and you can keep track of uses at the bottom of the card.

I'll be attending gaming session #2 with the 4.0 rules tonight, so I still haven't got a great feel for it...

Anyone else playing 4.0?
