I know. If only it were a little more exciting. If I was really going to make the downstairs nothing but an arcade, I'd keep it. But, one of the things about selling it to the 1UP is that I can go over there and play it whenever.

I think (will confirm tomorrow) that the guy who has the world record on Spy Hunter played my old Spy Hunter during The Kong Off 2, which I had sold to the 1UP over the summer.

Satan's Hollow always had a 'wow' factor when I first saw that you could actually move over to another screen! In an age where single screen games were king (Pac-man ,Galaxian, ect) suddenly being able to move back and forth between screens was killer. Plus the whole devil thing was kinda cool as well.
Got old, though. Just something about it made me yawn.

<icecreamj> Had to sell Satan's Hollow.
<icecreamj> Nobody plays it, the gameplay is - and it pains me to admit this - not that good.
<icecreamj> And as much as I love having a game with the goddamn devil on it, I'm also 38.
<SketchCow> hahaha
<SketchCow> See, that is how the Prince of Lies works
<SketchCow> You spend your money on him, then he makes you face your mortality, then he moves to the next victim
<SketchCow> A crafty one, old nick

Man, that 1UP is really blowing up. I just watched a bunch of videos of the Kong Off that have been posted on Facebook and Twitter.

When I was a kid, a friend of a friend ran a BBS named Jubal's Hollow. I remember if you called the BBS and it was down for some reason the sysop (Jubal Harshaw) would answer the phone with "Jubal's Hollow..." at which point you would say something like, "and you're not!"

Anyway ... Satan's Hollow always makes me think of that. Anytime I hear someone say "Satan's Hollow" I want to say, "and you're not."

So, I forgot to start a thread when I bought Satan's Hollow.

I liked owning it, but I decided I like Mappy more. And I ran out of room downstairs. Moon Patrol is in the spare bedroom. I want all the arcade games to be in one room.

So I sold Satan's Hollow to the 1UP for $300. The dude is coming to pick it up Friday or Saturday.

I heard that around level 10 there's some kind of bonus round
type of thing that shows up. Never seen it tho. Must research.

Well, I did the animated Polybius screen for the Polybius video on Youtube, but that's it. Well, I got my spinner working with it too, but still, nothing good.

And Satan's Hollow seems very easy to re-make.

But I am not sure if you eventually fight God or something in it. Anyone familiar with this game?
I am.

You never fight God.

Basically, you have some number of Galaxian Waves, and then a Satan's Head Wave, and then you cross the bridge and you have the Fast-Moving Spiral Satan Like The Things From That Vortex Level Of Gorf Wave. Repeat.
