[MINI-REVIEW] A Prairie Home Companion

by pinback » Mon Dec 18, 2006 2:40 pm

A surreal, cozy, wandering gem of a film. Nothing really much happens in it, but it is a delight, and I could have watched it for hours more. It is one of those movies, as Roger Ebert spoke of Fargo, that you just want to hug.

You have to be able to deal with Altman's method of having everything going on at once and you can decide for yourself which part of the screen you want to pay attention with.

Some will be maddened by the seemingly pointless nature of the thing.

Me, I loved it.
