Just got back from Cleveland, where I saw Monday night's Yankees-Indians game. Twas my first major league game, despite the fact that I've been a Yankees fan for a LONG time.
In short, it was a lot of fun. It was a really good game, made better by the fact that the Yanks won.

Jacobs Field is a great ballpark, and there were lots of other Yankee fans in the section we sat in, so we were able to make lots of noise.
We also made two sightseeing stops before the game: the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the USS Cod (a World War II US submarine in original condition). The two are right next to each other on the Lake Erie waterfront.
Tickets to the HoF cost ***$20*** each. In short, it was a colossal waste of time. 95% of what they have are guitars and clothes, and there were VERY few displays that had photos next to the artifacts to show the artifacts in use. I dunno, seeing one of Elvis' 70s jumpsuits and the white/plaid gettup the Bay City Rollers wore wasn't worth the money.
The visit to the Cod (which is next door to the HoF) was a lot more fun. Only cost $6 to get in, and you get to tour almost the entire sub (which did actually sink Japanese ships during the war). No mamby-pamby doorways cut into the hull either...you had to go up and down the hatches to get in and out, and it's DEFINITELY not something everybody can do. The sub has been restored to original condition too, so playing with the myriad of controls was GANZ VERBOTEN because most of them actually work. It's amazing that ~70 guys could live in that cramped thing for ~2 months at a time. The best part was that the 5" deck gun still works (well, it doesn't actually FIRE, but you can sit in the attached seats and manoever the gun), so the wife and I took it upon ourselves to aim it squarely at the HoF.

More info about the Cod can be found here:
